Tri-City Lunkers  

Congradulations to Mike Stern on winning the Lunker pot and the largest fish of the 07/08 season.  He caught a 6 lb 2 oz largemouth at Lake Lopez on June 7th.  It was caught flipping a spinnerbait in the brush.

On May 31st we had 3 boats participating in the Wounded Warrior Tournament.  Ed Snell, Mike Robinett and Danny Payne.  If you are not familiar with it, it was an event to take wounded Marines out for a day of fishing.  It was held at Lake Vail with 50 boats taking out 100 Marines.  It was a great time for all.  The Marines had fun and caught a ton of fish.  And I know that personally I had a day I will never forget.  Thanks to all who made such a great event possible.

07/08 Angler of the Year

06/07 Top Six results

The first club top six tournament was held at Lake Havasu.  The anglers were only given a 24 hour advance notice.  So, there was no prefishing or even a chance to prepair for that lake.   With some unstable weather and a tough bite everyone had a blast.  Victor Allen won on the Boater side while his partner Bob Hardy took the Non-Boater top prize.  Mike Robinett put the whole thing together and did a great job as Tournament Director.  Hopefully this will become a regular club event.
